Maison Marie Studio

creates Heirloom artwork that celebrates pets for who they really are, and who they are to you

Founded by international award-winning portrait photographer Mariya Nikitayeva, Maison Marie Studio offers intimate, artful outdoor and at-home portraits of dogs and cats that transform fleeting moments into heirloom artwork.

With background spanning fine arts and technology, Mariya spent over a decade helping brands to reach their audience before noticing how her own cat had grown gray beside her over the years. Today she is on a mission to create one-of-a-kind, timeless fine art pet portraits for cherished dogs, cats, and their families, crafted to bring daily joy and honor a lifetime of companionship.

There is a version of your life that exists only in the space between you and the animal who shares it: the morning walks, evening cuddles, the weight of a head in your lap, the particular quiet of a house where someone is always listening to you.

Maison Marie Studio creates portraits of that life. In your garden, on your porch, on your favorite walk, in the room where the light is always best.

Because this, what you have right now, deserves to be held still.

Our sessions are thoughtfully limited, allowing for an unhurried, intentional photography experience.

If you are a pet owner who loves your animal deeply and wants to hold on what this season of life together feels like, please reach out.

A Private portrait experience shaped around your pet

  • Designed with purpose

Every great piece of artwork starts with a plan. An in-home consultation gives you total clarity and confidence before the session. Instead of just showing up to take photos, we intentionally design your session by selecting ideal locations, coordinating family wardrobe, and exploring custom art options that complement the style of your home.

  • Understanding your pet

Every dog and cat is unique. Meeting them at home before your session helps build trust, letting us learn what they enjoy, what they would rather avoid, and how to help them feel completely at ease. Every session is designed entirely around your pet’s comfort ensuring a stress-free experience from start to finish.

  • Stress free Photo session

Calm and unhurried, with time for your pet to explore, settle and enjoy the experience, we let the session unfold naturally. There is no pressure to perform. Whether your companion is shy, high energy, senior with limited ability or reactive, we bring the on-location studio experience to them and their safe space.

  • Artwork for life

The portraits you select belong in the life you share, not buried on a drive. During a dedicated reveal and design session, we sit down together to select your favorite images and tailor each piece for your space. Handcrafted in Italy using archival materials, your custom artwork is designed to last for over 100 years without fading or color degradation.
